Do You Rely On Mouthwash Too Much?

Do you rely on mouthwash too much? Many people have fallen into the trap of rinsing with mouthwash but skipping brushing and flossing. The idea that fresh breath means a clean mouth will ultimately get them in trouble. Simply rinsing with mouthwash is not enough to get rid of the bacteria and biofilm accumulating on your teeth. Brushing and flossing are needed to whisk away any sticky biofilm and pesky bacteria. Mouthwash simply assists by attacking bacteria left in those hard to reach areas and also leaves your breath minty fresh. Some mouthwashes even contain flouride, coating your teeth to help ward off future decay.
So- Is mouthwash really that important? - Yes.
Should you rely completely on it for your oral health? - No... Brushing and flossing are still very important steps.
